VENTSISLAV NIKOLOV Monday, May 30, 2005
 May 2005 - Iverson X | Rbk: The X-Answer
7.22 / 10 The shoe itself is inspired by Iverson's style of play - explosive and fearless - but most of all, by his hairstyle! Ventsislav used the new Pump2 laceless locking down system and combined it with the "Slized Ballance" system (from his Shaq shoe last year) to give the foot the best experience and safety while on the court. He also used a full-lenght Hexalite cushioning system , visible at the heel. The ventilation of the foot is provided by a window in the lateral side of the shoe .

 May 2005 - Iverson X | Reebok: The Answer X
6.62 / 10 For the Iverson concept, Peterflight selected 2 features of AI's game to bring into his shoes: smooth moves and supersonic speed. From each of these 2 features started a different development for his work: a cleaner sleeker shoe versus a faster more aggressive one. As you can see they share few details and the performance features are the same: new enhanced DMX cushioning in the midsole, for top shock absorption, and external Pump fit chambers to lock down the foot within maximum comfort... note that Pump chambers shape is taken from AI's stylish braided hair.

 May 2005 - Iverson X | Rbk AI X Butterfly Pump
7.12 / 10 Iverson's small, fast, attractive and flys all over the court like a butterfly. Lei's design is inspired by the butterfly and features
Upper: Pump technology provides a personalized custom fit and support.
TPU "Claw" grasps foot/heel for extra stability.
Zipper and midfoot build up the laceless system for great comfort and fit. Cushioning: 3D-Hexalite cushioning system, which was very popular in 1990's, provides lightweight cushion from side to bottom.

PEP MARTENS Friday, May 27, 2005
 May 2005 - Iverson X | Reebok I3X
6.67 / 10 Pep returns in 2005 with the Rbk I3X for Allen Iverson. It has a new support-cage structure - the XBeam3. The parts of the structure that are showing form 3 gold X's on the shoe. Staying with the concepts with X in the name, Pep also used Hexalite at the heel. And the hexagon shapes come back in the toe-cap embossing, the rubber texture and the 3Dmesh-holes.

 May 2005 - Iverson X | Rbk Answer X
7.43 / 10 Edgar is 2 for 2 so far, winning both of his two entries in the Artist Series. Can he make it 3 for 3 and further extend this historic achievement? He's certainly making a strong case for it with the Rbk Answer X. The design is solid: lines flow nicely with a hint of TMAC inspiration; perforated holes for breathability; full grain leather upper; rear heel counter; all the logos are in the right place and small enough to not overpower the shoe. The overall look is also simple and 'generic' enough that Rbk just might put into production.

OLIVIER BERTRAND Wednesday, May 25, 2005
 May 2005 - Iverson X | Rbk Iverson Answer X
6.45 / 10 Olivier has really been sneaking up on the rest of the field. With his 3rd Finalist appearance this year, the Iverson Answer X is sure to be a hit with most fans. The design shows a hint of Jordan XX and Ultraposite as well as a luxury feel that we've not yet seen in the Iverson Answer line. But who's to say AI doesn't deserve the best there is?

ZENITH CHANCE Tuesday, May 24, 2005
 May 2005 - Iverson X | Reebok Question 3
6.50 / 10 Zen is back. This time the waves on the back of the shoe are inspired from iverson's braided hair. There are also many shapes found on this shoe that comes from the Questions. This long nosed shoe seems sleek and quick to fit Iverson's game. The split front half and the rear almost seems like an unlikely fusion of two entirely different ideas - however, the unique combination is what makes this shoe stand out from among the crowd.

SINDRI SIGURDSSON Monday, May 23, 2005
 May 2005 - Iverson X | Rbk Answer 10
7.08 / 10 Sindri's main objectives when designing the AIX were:
Create a lightweight shoe that represents AI's lighgting quick game.
Make the shoe unique, without making it too futuristic.
Looking for inspiration within the Rbk brand, rather than other brands.
Upper: The ankle collar opens from the rear, and is locked in via a pull back heel strap. The collar features injected memory foam for lateral support and customized fit.
A stretch fabric covers the length of the shoe, hiding away the lacing system, the cover also provides a secure place for the lace toggle and adds to overall fit while reducing stretching of the underlying premium leather.
The design was inspired by the clashing lines of the Reebok Classic Trainer.

YUBO GONG Saturday, May 21, 2005
 May 2005 - Iverson X | Rbk AIX
6.95 / 10 Yubo returns with a distinct AI shoe that combines to form the "X" in AIX. It features a polymeric chassis around the toe, heel, and medial foot area to provide maximum stability while maintaining a sleek shape. The cushioning harkens back to the old days with the hexalite system with a twist. Each cell is now individually pressurized to provide more support for pressure points on the foot to prevent the fast cushion breakdown that the original hexalite was prone to.
