"The lace cover was inspired by the "Green Jacket"... it takes its form from the lapels of a jacket and it acts as a "jacket" for the laces.
The green on the underside of the cover represents the "green" part of the jacket.
The two lapels snap down onto the upper. Additionally, there is a flap that snaps onto the jacket to keep the edge from irritating the leg.
The gold part of the upper emulates the shape of a putting green.

The Nike ZM SO Sunday is a shoe that maximizes comfort, cushioning,
stability, and breathability. The shoe has many inspirations
and a more literal translation is the large lateral seam that resembles
the flight path of a golf ball. Tiger often goes spearfishing during
the off-season and the shoe's toe is composed of neoprene (to enhance
venting and keep the forefoot dry), which is used wetsuits
when spearfishing. Other design cues are the 2-6-4 perfs on the lateral
which is the # of weeks Tiger was at #1..consecutively. The

This months entry I tried to give Tiger a shoe as different and as impressive as his game. A lot of inspiration was drawn from the game of golf in terms of materials (the woodgrain, simulated golf ball texture on the swoosh, and the heel mimics the grip on the club). Brushed aluminum and patent leather are featured at the front of the shoe. I did not want to deviate too far from traditional golf shoes, but I hope that I gave a fresh new look to a usually uninspiring field of footwear.

Tiger Woods appears to the World as one of the greatest golf player, and since he was 2 years old, putting with Bob Hope on tv. He has put his sign on the game. The trajectory of his career is this sign. So fast and so amazing. The perfect trajectory. Like his swing shot, power and accuracy together.
Trajectory is the key of this Nike Phenom, like in surf or ski, Tiger's favorite sports after golf, your trajectories let the mark of your passage.
Inspired by the trajectory, of his career, of his swing shot, of his life, the shoe is stamped by the dynamism and the elegance of Tiger Woods. Tim got the inspiration from golf shoes. He decided on a running shoe based on the spanking new Air Max 360 series. So he that technology for the sole, but for the bulk of the shoe he tried to fuse a formal golf cleat style with a running shoe feel. The result was the Tiger Play 360. The name is supposed to convey the idea that these would be the kind of shoes Tiger could slip on off-season for the driving range, or just a comfortable shoe to relax or go to Stanford basketball games in. The elastic tongue makes for easy wearing while keeping Tiger in his element of formal golf shoes. This hand-drawn sketch is simple, clean and gives an old school feel of shoe design.
