Nike Zoomposite LF-A
  6.24 / 10
The Nike Zoomposite LF-A is inspired by the Lexus LF-A concept car, and is designed for players at the PG, SG, and SF positions. The shoe uses a foamposite structure in the heel, ankle, and forefoot to cradle and support the foot during hard lateral cuts. An inner elastic band is placed at the forefoot to lock the foot in and add extra lateral support. A variable ankle lacing system allows the wearer to adjust ankle support and flexibility. A translucent TPU heel counter protects the heel and adds extra heel support. A medial TPU shank plate prevents midfoot flex. Ventilation is provided by screen mesh vents and perfs on the tongue and medial side. A caged zoom air unit in the heel, and forefoot zoom air units work to provide low profile cushioning and transition. An asymetrical nubuck toe piece protects the toes from outside hazards. Sketches and details.

adidas Agent Zero
  6.56 / 10
This shoe is a performance basketball shoe designed for Gilbert Arenas. It is comprised of 3 main design elements: a strap, an elastic web tongue, and an advanced formotion sole. The padded strap can be seen wrapping around the heel and up over the top of the foot. An elastic web runs along the top of the foot where it interlocks with this strap. Cutouts provide adequate breathability. The sole houses full length advanced formotion pods. These pods feature a blue core with a slightly higher density than the cushioning around them. This core extends all the way through the sole to the inner of the shoe. This allows the wearer's foot to come in direct contact with the ends of these cores. This provides enhanced court feel for the player. The cores also have channels running along their length. These channels are connected to small chambers inside the midsole. The chambers are filled with a goo specifically created for the best traction between the sole of the shoe and hardwood floors. When the pods are impacted and compressed it acts as a valve, releasing a small amount of the goo to the sole of the pods.
