The Heritage

All I �ve thinking for this month theme is how amazing is Michael Jordan and Tinker Hatfield have done to the sneakers industries... Since 5th Grade I�ve always look up to Air Jordan as my favourite Sneakers which I couldn�t have, because it�s too expensive for my dad to purchase one for me... And when I was in the 6th Grade, My friend had a new pair of Air jordan VIII all I want to do is just have this serie, and I finally got it at the 5th or 6th semester of my university, because nike re-make it that year, and financially I�ve managed couple money That I�ve saved... So with this 24th Jordan Theme, I present you �the Heritage�... All I�m tryin� to do is just thinkin� like Tinker and tryin� to be his Predecessor... I just fillin� it with the old school style ankle strap without velcro, and just wrap it with elastic band and foam and cover it up with leather and neoprene fabrics... I make the momories back with the visible airbag, and the ankle buff in the ankle strap... Well, got nothin� to said... If you feelin� it, it�s the Heritage....

Some of my favorite designs in KG happened in those past Air Jordan themes. Air Jordan means top basketball shoes and also the combination of sport and art. This time I finally get the opportunity to design the Air Jordan 24. How I found my inspiration is kind of funny. I saw a movie called �The Other Boleyn Girl� with my girlfriend, she loves it but I�m not a fan. When she had all her tears running down her face, what impressed me is the costume design. When I saw the hood that Scarlett Johansson wears on her head in the movie, I knew I found my inspiration and I definitely should use that on the shoe. I also get inspired by some modern architectures and used triangles as the basic pattern of some parts of the shoe. Triangle is one of the simplest shapes, but simple things can be beautiful. Air Jordan 24 Kila Dairy is designed in nike considerd law.The inspiration comes from the scimitar.The shoe-pads record of Jordan's 28 careers victory, shows the characteristics of Jordan's killer. With special footcover and shoelaces system to provide a good sense of the parcels also easy to wear. Cork midsole with the I.P.S system is a bold attempt. Design of a shoebox on the way, is also in line with the theme of Kila Diary.

This shoes have adopted the function of taking a breath 1.Is it can install valid shockproof respiratory system to have in large bottom! 2.The trachea joining the ankle place at the outsole air into the ankle airbag upwards.Lowering a athlete injures in sports.

My design for the Air Jordan XX4 come from a few different inspirations. The main inspiration was flowers and plants which are intended to symbolize a rebirth - mainly because the XX4 is the first model to come after the 23, so it seems like a new chapter. Many of the forms throughout the shoe are taken from plants or flowers. The other primary inspiration was the Jordan's leading up to the XX4 - mainly the XXI, XXII, and XXIII. I wanted this design to be a natural prograssion from the models preceeding it.

It is intended to be a recyclable shoe that would allow the athlete 3 years of on-court performance excellence. The upper is an ultra-thin, solution-dyed Hemp and the first Jordan flagship shoe to feature Flywire technology. The rubber bottom is completely stitched (no glue) to the hemp upper which hugs the internal bootie. Once the upper or outsole wears out, simply send your shell in for recycling (in the original box) and a new shell and bottom is returned in new/recycled condition within 2 weeks! One refresh plus shipping is included with your original purchase. The internal bamboo mesh sock houses a 3D injection-molded EVA sockbed with zoom air cushioning. The midsole and washable sock you keep; the rest you can recycle indefinitely (and in different colors/graphics). The Jordan Signature Line is one of the most anticipated shoes every year. The designs are based upon the life and times of the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan, pulling inspiration from his life on and off the court. This year I choose to design around the post basketball persona of Michael Jordan. He is now a man who's pastimes now include golfing and the occasional cigar. Using these as jumping off points, the design uses cues from the two. The cigar wrapper became the ankle collar, following the form of the wrapper as it wraps the foot. The golf ball created the idea for a new material, dimpled foamposite, a texture that aids flight. The Nike Free Sole was also utilized to give the player better feel of the court. An overarching design constraint was complying with the Nike Considered guidelines. The sole uses little glue as it is actually stitched on the interior of the shoe. The amount of material used is minimized and recycled materials are used when available, dimpled foamposite, rubber, etc. Overall, the design is intended to become one the classic designs of the Jordan Brand, creating intrigue through innovation and nostalgia through design language.

Mario Sisillo: Air JORDAN XX4

I took the inspiration for the JORDAN XX4 by studying the anatomical scketches of the very first "designer" that the hystory of the human being can count: Leonardo Da Vinci. My idea was to give a muscle look at the midsole, afterall, the shoes is a prothesis of the foot, a continuation of the body itself, so i tried to give a more organic shape at them startin from the lines drawn by the Maestro Da Vinci regard the human anatomy. the organic shape of the shoe meets the most futuristic fabrics of tomorrow. The upper has an asymmetrical lace up design form fits and is built on the revolutionary NIKE Flywire technology. So the Lightweight synthetic upper provides cool comfort and a custom fit while the Phylon midsole with an internal full-length Air Zoom unit provides cushioning. The xx4 logo resemble a chain, I think the jordan saga can be seen like an infinite chain, it couldn't be stopped at 23.

Jordan 24, the dynasty continues. To make the Jordan 24, I get key features from the beautiful and hi-tech Audi R8, specially the sideblade, the carbone fiber and the back grille. On my shoe I put a lace cover, they come with three different colors, black, white and red. The black and red are made with rich suede nubucks, while the white is made with full-grain leather. You can also decide to wear them without lace cover. You lock it with 2 buttons on each sides. They are extremely light because of the carbone fiber plate sole. The stretch fit innersleeve construction provides a sock like fit. The solid rubber outsole feature a 24 pattern.

XX4 Fire & Ice...

Dear all, First submission on KG... and first try on an Icon ;-) My main objective was to work on Jordan DNA, not on a graphic or design point of vue, but more to touch Air jordan's spirit we have all known and wear when we were younger: authentic and highly sportive shoes. Last 5 Jordan shoes were,from my opinion, too trendy, or too directed to become some fashionable models. So I wanted to make a flashback to past times, as if MJ have trapped his model in the Ice... I wanted too to work on opposites: that's why I developped a graphic about the 24, and developped two sides about my XX4: ice & fire, angel & evil, good & bad, etc... Nike air Jordan is a legend on the street, therefore the 24th edition of Jordan is a celebration to legends. The legends of the aborigines are their history of scarifications art and tattoos. The tattoos inspired pattern which I have created is implemented on the upper, while the scarification can be found on the upper rear part of the shoe. The 24 scars symbolizes the 24th edition of Jordan`s. It�s easy to forget, but inspiration can be found just around the corner. The concrete grey ghettos act as a foundation in the color pallet together with distinct red contrast from Tony Montana and the legendary movie Scarface. The reds are seen as stitches on the back part and the upper eyelets. Scarface has also influenced the heel, where similarities can be drawn to a piston. The logo is exclusively embroided to complete the legendary heritage of Nike Jordan.

i have big question in mind...what is jordan beyond 23? so i just make some sketches and let it flow... carbon mesh from vamp to quarter area for strong,breathability and maximum performance.Shiny TPU back counter with extra roll cage around achilles tendon to support extreme movements, this roll cage combined with a velcro strapt to lock the foot inside...so here it is... ;)
