The shoe draws inspiration from the Rhino, an animal Tom associates with the physique and explosiveness of Shaq's game. The shoe features a one piece wrap around Pebax, heel counter and arch support. He decided to go for a Ultra high top to give stability and ankle protection. A strap located at the forefoot and continuing to the heel hugs and pulls the foot back towards the heel counter, again reinforcing support and protection. A fully breathable perforated leather panel hides the laces, while a clear gel filled sac around the ankle can offer cushioning and cooling.

The DUNKMAN SHAX Diesel is a workhorse of a shoe. It protects Shaq's feet
and toes in a soft-shell upper with a luxurious soft and breathing inner
bootie. The spring-loaded SHAX-system never grows tired of cushioning the
huge impacts of a running and jumping Shaq, and also re-launches his body
for faster reactions and higher jumps. The patented SHAX heel is connected to
a tough and lightweight support-structure that gives stability to the foot
and protects against sprained ankles and opponents kicks. The foot is locked
down in the shoe by an easy and sturdy belt and buckle system.

Saul creates a simple and efficient basketball shoe for Shaq. The shape creates more dynamism and built for speed to counter Shaq's enormous mass. The details and sketches that shows how the shoe came to be are available as well as Alternative Colorways.

Zenith puts his signature touches on the Shaq BB04. This high top reinforces the ankle area for maximum protection but the shoes look sleek and nimble enough for the Disel to shake and bake. There is also a hint of the original Shaq I as well as Huarache inspirations.

Arsen takes a different direction from the rest by making his Shaq One Blaze in the Orlando Magic colorways. This may remind many of the original Reebok Pump Shaq I but the shoe consists of modern day elements like a Mesh lace cover and a zipper that encloses the shoe. This looks like a big man's shoe that is regid and stable but not too heavy.

de Castro's first inspiration came from the Shaquille O'neal's religion: that's why you can find an arabic inscription on the side. It means Rashaun in arabic, which is the arabic first name of Dunkman. Rashaun means "little warrior".
The extended midsole which includes the hole at the heel, is inspired by the physical phenomenom of the Black Hole.
The closure of the shoe is made by 3 turning crosses which hold tight 3 internal stripes.
The one pieced heel counter takes its inspiration from the Spawn (comics heroe) cape, who looks like the Night Warrior.

The main feature of the shoe is the electroshox cushioning system in the heel.
The cushioning strength is provided by the electric force between two plates
(top/bottom) that carry the same charge. The more charge is put into the
parallel plate system, the stronger the electric force. So the
stiffness/strength of heel cushioning can theoretically be adjusted by
changing the amount of charge placed on the plates, which occurs via a
charging pod.

This black and white sketch may not seem as striking but still conveys Richard's intent of the shoe.
Project named the 'wasp' due eventually to its insect like 'thorax' detail
on the exaggerated rear outriggers. The main composition consists of a
streamlined, low density resin cast carbon fiber heel cradle system that
allows for maximum lock down but still allowing movement during play.
Twin TPU 'absorption units' with integral 'air zoom' full cushioning cups
then clamp each side of the heel to give support to the side as well as the
heel of the foot.
The bagged seam construction of the fine punched leather (for breath
ability) ribbed upper gives a look and feel of 'upholstered' comfort (check
'Lear jet' seats) for the instep to help endure continuous flexing during
play. To aid this, an additional ergonomic cut-out detail has been added to
the forepart.
Fastening comes in the form of an integrated lace system and oversized
Velcro bar for final 'user fit' higher in the foot.

The Air Max Shaq is equipped with a double strap fit system. It allows custom fit for upper and ankle
areas, standard laces for lower half, features full length air max. The tough and rugged look carries cues from the Lebron II's.

The shoe is called the PL32, 'P' stands for performance, 'L' stands for
luxury and 32 for Shaq's number. Inspiration includes 1. Italian dress boots - Clean, classic and stylish. 2.
Stealth Police Cruiser - Blacked out, stealthy versions of Police cars with a clean look, minimal markings. 3. Shaq's degree and affinity for the police force. 4. M1A1 Abrams tank - the US military's premier attack/assault platform.

One thing about Nikolov is that he has never been afraid to be different. The DUNK Infussion Slized Ballance is another example of that. The "Slized Ballance" system is all about control of the movement and prevention of injuries . It uses four part upper that moves all for itself using free connection between them. We've gota give him credit for being creative and the courage to create something we've never seen before.
