Air Jordan XIX

(Continued ...)

Air Jordan XIX Instead of snakeskin, the XIX uses a light-weight Tech-Flex lace cover for flexibility, breathability and support. The look is mesmerizing and is bound to hypnotize your opponents.
Air Jordan XIX The shroud wraps around towards the rear of the shoe via a strap. The chrome Jumpman is prominently labeled on the XIX for an aggressive and upscale look.

The answer that creative minds at JB came up with is Tech-Flex. It is the element of the shoe that everyone immediately takes notice. You just can't miss it. It sits at the very top of the shoe and serves as a lace cover. Tech-Flex strikes you as an ethereal web of contradicting emotions, at first impossible to decipher in all its complexity. But within time, you will come to love the way the strands are interwoven - not since the patent leather of the XI has one design element so dominated an Air Jordan's styling. Unlike past Jordan shrouds, Tech Flex is non-removable, and highly improved for performance and comfort. The designers wanted to make sure it is flexible in all the right areas. The fibers flex and bend forward for comfort. But stretch it the wrong way on a lateral access and it locks itself up. This allows the players to plant their feet side to side with confidence – flexible & supportive but also highly breathable and super light-weight.

The shroud concept is also very recognizable as an Air Jordan, but its impact is unlike that of any previous J's. The lace cover recalls the styling of XVI, XVII and XVIII models before it, but this time, the design is muscular and menacing. There's something mysterious and fearsome about the snake driven woven technique of the Tech-Flex. The pattern and texture is hypnotizing, the way a snake would mesmerize its prey before pouncing for an attack. Furthermore, the shroud cover now wraps around towards the rear of the foot with a heel Velcro strap. This enhances support as well as provide a more customizable fit for comfort.
