| Overview: In the Huarache 2K5, Nike answered the critics. The 2K5 improved on the most critical weakness from the previous year - ankle support & stability. The ankle area is now greatly reinforced to avoid inversion... to the point where much of the traditional Huarache cutout is now not so apparent. The forefoot is now wider and the shoe feels more planted and stable when cutting. In other areas, the Zoom Air feels a little more stacked. This was an issue with the 2K4 where the cushioning felt bottoming out upon heavy impact. The look of the 2K5 has evolved - but still very recognizable to it's predecessor. After all, why fix much when the looks part was never really broken. Overall, this is definitely one update for the Huarache line that deserves a thumbs up. |
