| Overview: The Air Jordan XX3 is obviously historical because it is Michael's jersey #. It is easy to see Nike put special attention to this shoe. Tinker put his magical touch on this shoe while the marketing department did everything they can to launch the shoe in relevance to the # 23. 23 pairs in 23 stores for the limited release had collectors scrambling to pay $1500+ online. But beyond the hype, two of the better colorways is readily available to the general public. Best of all, Nike didn't add any gimmicks to this shoe (with exception to maybe the fish tail at the rear). Everything about the XX3 is performance first. It is incredibly light weight. Gone is the air-sole zoom air insole swap technology. The lightweight also does not hamper safety concerns for the ankle - a remarkable achievement of its own. Is this the best on court basketball performance Air Jordan ever? We think so. In a way, it is the first Jordan since the XIV to truly focus on an all performance shoe. If the XIV was Ferrari Modena inspired, then this shoe is the Enzo of Air Jordans. |
