Overview: Considered by many to be the greatest AJ of all time - or at least the G.O.A.T. of the modern Jordan era. The XI is Mike's redemption shoe. The comeback that was not only successful but shut up all the critics. His failure ('95 playoff lost to the Magic) only made him work harder and the success that much sweeter. The XI defines that 72-10 season and the 4th championshp against the Sonics - won on Father's Day. Patent leather defines the shoe and the clear soles are back. The XI was so popular, it was re-released only 5 years later in an overwhelming number of colorways. Collectibility has been super high - easily the most widely traded, bought and sold Air Jordan of all time. Fakes are everywhere and collectors need to be extremely cautious. These counterfeits have also dramatically hurt the prices of the authentic XI's. Nike is bouncing back with the Defining Moments Package. The XI in the package is white/patent-black with gold accents. Expect to see J-O-R-D-A-N spelled out on the lace loops. This could be one of the hottest retro release of 2005.
