| Overview: Any shoe that follows a legend (XI) is bound to be a letdown. The XII had big shoes to fill. While it brought new design concepts to the table, it lacked where it matter the most - comfort and fit. XII's great ankle support and durability (indestructible) is the shoe's strength. However, comfort-wise, it was easily the worst Air Jordan ever. Due to a design flaw, a piece of the shoe sticks out near the ankle area and causes serious rub that leads to soreness, bruise or cut. Overall shoe is VERY stiff, unbreathable and bulky. Cushioning also proves to be hard and takes at least 20 wears before softening up (even then, it is rigid and inflexible). It is strongly recommended that consumers try on the shoes extensively before making the purchase. The Retro's did improve on all of the above mentioned problems - at the cost of lower quality and durability from the OG. There are also numerous retro colorways and low-top models to choose from. The remakes are highly recommended while OG's should be strictly a collector's item. |
