Overview: The Air Jordan XIX takes the shroud cover concept to the ultimate by wrapping the entire forefoot via straps around the heel. Inspired by the black Mamba, the XIX has the texture and venom of the deadliest snake. If you aren't feeling the shroud, it is actually what makes the shoe work and provides a nice flair. The Tech-Flex is light-weight, breathable and flexible at all the right places. The look itself is simply mesmerizing and much more innovative than using snakeskin - which has been done in the past. The use of patent leather helps to spice up the styling but also gives the feeling that it has been over-played. Expect the flint and regional colorways to drop in limited supplies in order to produce hype and perceived exclusivity to help boost sales. Comfort has been drastically improved and ranks among the most comfortable Jordan ever. From a pure performance standpoint, the XIX lacks some of the harsh court feel & feedback one could find on the Air Jordan XIV. This is more Porsche Cayenne than 911. Although neither could be labeled as a bad thing. Impressive? Absolutely. Numbers wise, this is the BEST Air Jordan. But is it up to the revolutionary Jordan standards of the past decade? Only time can tell.
