2008 Artist Series Contest (8thTheme): Football Freestyle
Freestyle means any shoe, any brand, any model. Football on the other hand, means soccer to some and American football (NFL) to others. However you want to interpret it, this is the time to get creative and design one of your own football masterpieces.

Ah, Tony has posted it first. I was gonna wait for a moment, haha. It was cool. I had met Ryan before once, and had never met Tony, even though I can somewhat say I've known him on and off since 2003 or so.

Pretty fun night. There was nothing quite like talking about life, shoes, snakes, and crossface chickenwings at a classy place like the Hawaiian Tropic Zone with a couple of classy guys like Ryan and Tony.

LOL! Good times, indeed. This was my second time hanging out with Ryan too, and you can never get enough of Mr. Holler.....wait, that didn't sound good! ha ha It was awesome finally meeting Thomas after all these years. If I can offer any insight- you wouldn't like him when he's angry ;) All star wrestling moves are a Mother in the real world! LOL. I think an annual KG alum meeting at Hawaiian Tropic zone is definitely in order.

You guys are too funny. Stephan i noticed your shoe is based on the Land Shark line. I have bought both of the cleats over the years and noticed that they resulted in numerous ankle injuries for my teamates. A lot of my teamates and I also feel pain at the back of the ankle. As for appeal i like the line but sometimes you got to go with a more stable shoe. Now for your design. Interesting and it seems as if it could fit in with the line. The straps seem effective. I don't know what the what areas on the midfoot are, perfs? Well nice design and i like what im seeing so far with the finalists.

Mr. Martens back here???..........nooooooooooooooooo

Cool stuff Pep!!! The shark is very cool, shark teethed studs are a cool solution both for foot cradling and enlarged stud gripping area.

Good job even from other contestants so far! Thomas, your Randy Moss Pony is simply beatiful!!!

Dang, Peterflight woke up from his hibernation?? Waddup Pietro? I have some time between jobs so I thought I'd have some fun.. What about you? I hope you're still chasing the shoe dream.. or living it already!!?

Maybe we could have synchronized KG summits in different continents, linked by video?? European one @ Bread and Butter in Barcelona next January??? Maybe that Chinese brand that rips of all our designs could sponsor the thing..? :)

Nice one Pep, but man...my ACL kinda did a little shudder when thinking about cutting while wearing those cleats haha! While those studs might look effective because of the flat sides they are more apt to catch causing pretty nasty knee injuries..
