That is a great and big challenge. . . . it is really interesting to think how we could compete with big companies, throwing products with a new mark and therefore without force or without prejudices already existent.

Where we would have chances at the market? which ours woukd be differentiate competitive?

I had found the Ipod theme very good; but that is still better... congratulations; I hope to have time to do some think with that theme

thanks... (sorry for terrible english)

Really like this idea makes you really think all around as a designer as not to just diffrent views of a shoe but to diffrent ways to make your unknown company EXPLODE!! on the scene

Wow! This could be the best theme ever. You cab really run with this one. I have a feeling people are gonna tear this one up. It seems like you would need more than one submission for this theme, though. How is that gonna work. I haven't read up on the rules and themes page yet this year, so maybe that has alredy been handled and I'mjust being an idiot by asking that. I'msure someone will let me know, hah!

It seems like this is what Mark Miner was kinda tryin' to do with his K1X design. Although, his was still based on a real company. I remember he came with the clothing and streetball marketing.

Good luck to all.

FLIPPIN sweet.....man KG u guys sure do know how to keep peps busy. Thie theme is just not about the shoes but the over all picture of everyting. I would say to everyone when creating a company...u have steps to take. 1.Story of of your comapny and what makes it 2. a them that desribes your story 3. A logo that just definds everying (note 2 selfs nike took YEARS and BILLIONs to get it world wide, how would u make yours just as big as nike or adidas etc, 4. What type of gear does your company sell or going to sell? 5. I would recomnded you all read bout Phil knight, peps at Adidas and see there paths and foot steps it toke them to get where they are today...Man i feel some dirty heat this coming month.

Any of you guys who have a car design background, I have something that might interest you. For those who don't know, my day job is with Snap-on Equipment. I have a need for an rendered automobile image to be used in a software splash screen for a wheel alignment system. I can't promise any $crillo at this point, but if something works out, a nice porfolio piece and "Snap-on" on your resume isn't bad. You may already have what we need on file. If you're interested, I'll give you more info. Just hit me at my work address... r.holler@snapon.com

I'm new here and still trying to understand as everything works. . . . and I have some doubts:

- can I order just a one image? or being one project can I order more images?

- for that theme, the tennis needs to be basket, or it can be any other Tennis (jogging, crosstraining, casual. . . . )?

thanks...

Admin: please clearify a little bit the things...
1)is it still a <200kb 800x600 pixels jpeg image to be presented?

2)For this theme I'm not sure if you are asking mainly to create a new brand with logos and new philosophy or mainly a shoe coming out from a new, not existing, brand????

Thanks in advance

Hey ! Just a little question, this new theme is very free and wide, so we can expect no off topic subsimission ???? héhé
Good luck to KG Admin to present all the submission ^^

There will be a selection, or all the valid project will be presented ?

Not to give anything away, but I need to get a little feedback. What do you think that a line of shoes developed around stars and planets? Here is what I was going for, sort of a Flight/Force theme. The "stars" shoes would be for guards/sm. forwards and the "planet" shoes would be for power forwards/centers. There would be approx. 8 shoes in each line and each year the shoes would have the same names and just add on a number (a la Jordan). The "star" shoes would get their names from Constellations and they would be released according to when the constellation is visiable. For example, the "Orion" would be out in the winter since it is a winter constellation.
Is this idea too childish?

Steven, I think it could be a good idea (there's no bad idea, all ideas can done a great job), just for me a link to sport/basketball is missing, but if you find it there would/could be a good line ;)

this could be interesting...presenting an entire company on an 500 by 800 or so frame could be tough. pick a flagship, and design an ad for it. expansion for this project might not be a bad idea, like a 3-part competition. peace-sjc

I know people like to keep there shyt in secret- but how are things going for people so far?

Mm

steven- the star idea is I think strong for a season/ a line but to have your company always have the inspiration from the stars/ astronomy I think it limits your shoes for the future of the brand. I think by being too specific with the brand might be harmful. I would suggest being more broad for the company theme/ mission statement, and then be more specific for each season/ or line of shoes.

the idea of astronomy/ with flight/ force makes sense- for it not to be childish I think will involve taking it to a scientific level. getting down with some books and maybe contacting some professors of this science at some local unniversities. The more information you know the better, and this way you can take it to a level where we say. "oh shyt i never thought of it that way."

sounds like a great start
