Hey guys, I thought some of you might like to see what the nike shoe factories look like, as well as get a peak at the process. When you are designing a shoe, you really have to be able to think through how somebody who doesn't speak your language is going to build it for you. Copy and paste the link and scroll down. Enjoy! -TH

Well, how would it be to talk about Football boots, well SOCCER in America?!
I think there just so much too it, i know it´s basicaly all about basketball kicks here how would that be? I´d have lot´s of really great images to share, like this one!
Adidas Predator David Beckham England Sample, right now it´s 275 euros on ebay, it is just a sample and it should have been the boot for Beckham to wear for England after the World Cup, but since he is not on the squad right now, this remained just a sample!
if you want the ebay link to it, just contact me, here´s a image:

Yeah the ZK1s were pretty darn hot, loved the MPLS addition. Plus the K3s,4s and 5s were acclaimed to be his shoes( anyone know that for sure?), those were all nice, so lets hope Nike can hold that standard they set. |

Personaly i don´t like that shoe.

About those Kobe 2s, I have had the pleasure of seeing them in person, and they are nice, but not very extraordinary. Especially for a signature shoe. They have a bit of the Niike Considered line approach to the design, and they have a really nice detail in the quarter and ankle. There is a suede panel that has diamonds lasered out of it so it creates a suede mesh, if you will. Also, outsole flexibility was a major point on this shoe. |

the 22 are totaly different, way more agrsessive than the 21.
I guess that will change ones there will be commercials and so on the Jordan page!

Christoph -- There have been a couple different design twists on the Air Jordan XX2 leaked out---main differences being in the ankle/heel area. The one you just posted here is just one of them.
By the way, in my opinion, this is exactly what an Air Jordan should be. Busy parts, large clean parts, a little bit freaky, very imaginative, and not for everybody. Actually, to me, if everybody liked it that would kinda suck.
It's always funny to me when early pics of the Air Jordan leak out and NTers are all pissed and talking about how they don't like it. Then a few months later they're posting that they copped this colorway and that colorway. It's like a predictable movie. You know what's going to happen but it's still fun to watch. |

Hi everyboby!!!
I think I like these Jordan XX2. They are the best D'Wayne has designed.
I think they really have much more soul than any other post-Tinker era Jordans.
My doubts are just 3:
1 - heel outsole shape perfomance-wise
2 - ankle plastic vents in the pics posted before , they seem too much airplane and too little footwear...I'd prefer a more subtle recall, like Jordan 18 vents which were inspired by Lamborghini Murcielago's variable geometry vents, not just taken out from.
3 - heel Jumpman logo / heel-counter: the logo is quite big for an "Air Jordan" (a smaller, extruded, same material/color as heelcounter Jumpman would look better) and also the heel counter seems a detached part, not very consistent with the overall design. The 45 degrees rotated square - diamond like shape (...where's a dictionary when you need one...) is also present in the XXI PE, but I don't fall in love with it.
On the other hand, ankle lace loops are really original and the heel view of the rocket-exaust like midsole is nice too.
I hope final shoes will improve again, good stuff, anyway

Did y'all know that adidas is releasing a street version of Jesse Owens track spikes? I knew Jesse wore adidas shoes, but I'd never thought about this until now... I wonder how Hitler felt about the German Adi Dassler making a shoe for Jesse Owens, and then having Jesse turn around and kick his arse with it. The only thing that would have made the story any better is if Jesse would have taken the spikes off and handed them to ol' Adolph right there at the medal ceremony. That would have been cool.

I was curious to see if there were any documentation into what Hitler might have thought and I ran into this article on George Masons History News Network. I guess Hitler might have thought nothing of it....

Lei, hopefully it will look better that the ones Exeter designs for him. That is one freakin' ugly shoe! Look at that "SHAQ" plaque on the midsole. Looks like somebody slapped a piece of SHAQ Halloween candy on it.
Rich, that's an interesting article. I didn't know any of that, but I had heard some of the myths. It'd be interesting if one of the adidas guys could come on here and fill us in on that Jesse spike. Lei -- No, that's not what I meant to say. I'm sure that's an Exeter designed shoe.
According to them, the frequent changes in Shaq's shoe styles is not necessarily a marketing move on the part of Exeter. It's Shaq. He loves to break out several different styles within a season. He obviously doesn't care if they look good, as long as they're different. |
