Good idea Ryan.. this way Kg can help even more shoeloving designtalent reach their dreams.

Here at DECATHLON are several footwear (as well as other product and apparel and graphic) design opportunities. There are always a lot of interns coming through, which is a great way to get picked up or get some valuable experience. And I know of 2-3 positions for footwear designers with min. 3 years of experience.

The HQ, with the main design centre is based near Lille, in the North of France. Some of our design teams are located elsewhere in France (in the Alps for our mountainsports brands and near Biarritz for the watersports brand). We employ a lot of nationalities, speaking French is not a necessity...at first..

Anybody that wants to know more or apply directly can hit me up on pepijn.martens@decathlon.com .. I'll send it through to the right people.

Never stop dreaming..but don't forget to work your ass off.

Hello sp72.

I will be studing at KH-Berlin Weissensee in the fall. I am working at DeWalt here in the states this summer, but will have some time to do a bit of traveling before school starts. I know it is early as I am not going to be in Germany until early September, but it would be a great experience if I could get a tour of K1X. Maybe if I am in Munich we could work something out.

If you have a minute, feel free to take a look at some of my work.

Luis that question is too complex for a simple answer. It involves a lot of factors. I'd advise you to look at the various career web sites out there to get a general idea for what an industrial designer makes at various stages of a career.
