Thanks Rich!

After reading the contest overview, it looks like I'm not eligible to participate:
"You can enter if you’re a student between 14 and 19 years old who is a sophomore, junior or senior in high school as of January 1, 2008"

I'm 15 but I'm freshman. Why aren't freshmen eligible? Hopefully I can work this out though so I can enter.

Ben: As long as you are 14 you are good..

Seamus:You are good, enter.

Ryan:Thanks again for spreading the word for me about this.

This competition is very personal to me because I was this kid 21 years ago when I won a Reebok design contest at age 17 but they did not hire me because I was too young, and they did not offer me any guidence on how to pursue a career in footwear design. I guess things worked out better for me in the long run... but this competition will not only try to find talent but I will be personally mentoring even those that don't win which is something I wish I had as well back in the day. If, you are 14 to 19 or you know someone please encourage them to enter because it is a great opportunity. I will drop by here from time to time to answer any questions people may have.

Thanks KG for allowing me to share this with your audience.

Brian, only the winners sketches will be posted for everyone to see.

Johnny, yes, for now it is on for next year and is planned to include entries from outside the U.S.

Yeah, it's tough for some of you guys who are just over the age limit. But keep in mind, the goal of the FutureSole effort is to find talent at a young age in order to mentor them into a career. It has to be cut off somewhere, and the end of high school/prep is a logical place. But D.E. says the current age requirement is not something that's necessarily set in stone for next year. Wait and see.

Hey Guys, I just had a question for anyone who could shed some light. In the "Submit your Design" section of the website it says: "Designs may not be submitted to other competitions or for publication." Does that include designs that were submitted to other competitions before the Future Sole Contest was announced? Thanks in advance...
