10 years after the first retro release, the Air Jordan II is back once more. The original and 1st retro did not make the kind of splash in the market place Nike had hoped. Will the third time be the charm? For most die hard collectors, buying the II is a no brainer. It'll be their first chance at the model without spending $300-$1000 for the 1986 OG or 1994 Retro. For the average man, the II is not a high performance shoe to play in on the courts. But for those that do know better, the II was when MJ first did his free throw dunk at the Slam Dunk contest. It was when he first won the scoring title at 37 pts a game in a season that saw 9 straight 40 pt games. He won his first of seven consecutive All-NBA first team. To sum it up, the Air Jordan II brought Michael to the next level and never looked back. This retro may not be made in Italy with their fine quality leather and craftsmanship like the original, but it does bring back the nostalgia and make you reminisce of a time when MJ was still King.
