You've already heard about the Air Zoom Flight '95. But the '96 version was a shoe that went relatively under the radar. It had all the ingredients to be successful: Zoom Air technology, clear gum soles, carbon fiber shank plate, and Jason Kidd & Penny Hardaway as the endorsers. But the shoes never quite took off the way one would expect. The styling borrowed a bit from the Air Max '95 running shoes but fell well short of a classic design. The pull loop and the huge midsole resembled the '95 little else was familiar to the fans. These days, most clear gum bottoms have turned yellow due to aging - making a mint deadstock much harder to find. Dare we say: retro time?
